Terms of service
Effective April 12, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the websites, applications, and services offered by aqryl at https://aqryl.app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
aqryl provides an online trading journal, performance analytics, optional social features (“Explore”), strategy and planning tools (such as playbooks), calendars, risk views, and related functionality. Features may change over time. Some features require a paid subscription.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority where you live (and at least 13 in the United States) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify support@aqryl.app promptly of unauthorized use.
4. Not financial, legal, or tax advice
The Service is for informational and record-keeping purposes only. Nothing on the Service is investment, trading, tax, or legal advice. Trading involves substantial risk. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You alone decide whether and how to trade.
5. User content
You retain rights in content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (such as formatting or resizing), display, and distribute your content solely to operate, improve, secure, and promote the Service, including showing content to other users when you use public features.
You represent that you have the rights needed to grant the above license and that your content does not violate law or these Terms.
6. Explore, public profile, and sharing
Features such as Explore posts, public profile fields, optional public analytics, follows, and similar tools may make information visible to other users according to your settings and product behavior.
Public journal links: If you enable sharing for a journal entry, anyone with the link may be able to view that entry. You are responsible for what you share.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate law or third-party rights;
- Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate;
- Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ data;
- Scrape or automate the Service beyond what we expressly permit;
- Circumvent security, rate limits, or billing;
- Use the Service to distribute spam, deceptive promotions, or illegal securities activity;
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
We may investigate reports, remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts for violations or risk.
8. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Prices, taxes, renewal terms, and cancellation options are presented at checkout or in your account. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew until canceled. Stripe’s terms and privacy policy also apply to payment processing.
If payment fails or chargebacks occur, we may suspend paid features. Refunds, if any, are handled according to the policy shown at purchase or required by law.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (including Supabase, Vercel, and optional integrations such as Klipy). Their terms and practices may apply to you. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, branding, and design, is owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited rights expressly granted, these Terms do not grant you any intellectual property rights.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER AQRYL NOR ITS SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR TRADING DECISIONS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100), EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
13. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless aqryl and its affiliates, officers, and employees from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, and governing law) survive termination.
15. Changes
We may modify the Service or these Terms. We will post updated Terms at https://aqryl.app/terms and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide notice as required by law. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live, you agree that exclusive jurisdiction and venue for disputes will be in state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless we both agree otherwise in writing.

17. Export and sanctions
You may not use the Service if you are prohibited under applicable export control or sanctions laws.
18. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for specific features, are the entire agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.
